This quilt is known as a traditional 9 Patch quilt pattern and features what we believe is a Nile green, a color that was paired with white or creams in quilts around the 1930s and 1940s.
This piece was crafted by hand not once but twice and does have minor imperfections due to the age of the fabric. We carefully selected sections of the quilt that were in the best condition while being the most aesthetically pleasing. We mended some minor ware by hand and added patches from leftover fabric, but we believe this adds to the character and is part of what makes this jacket one of a kind. All four corners were utilized from this quilt. Two of the borders meet on the opening of this jacket and the other two in the sleeves, creating a dramatic angled point. This is a very thin quilt, so, ideally, this is a lightweight jacket.
Please note that we do not accept returns, and these are one size that fits most. Every square inch of these quilts is utilized, so if you are naturally petite, the jacket can be deconstructed and tailored to your height.
