This quilt is known as a Log Cabin pattern. Two of the borders meet on the opening of this jacket. Our absolute favorite part about this jacket is the contrasting floral fabric on the inside that shows through as you walk. This is a medium to heavy-weight jacket with heavy batting.
This piece was crafted by hand not once but twice and does have minor imperfections due to the age of the fabric. There is slight fraying in the original binding, but we believe that is what adds to the character and part of what makes this jacket so unique and aged.
We carefully selected sections of the quilt that were in the best condition while being the most aesthetically pleasing. We mended some minor ware by hand and added patches from leftover fabric on the inside.
Please note that these are one size fits most, and every square inch of these quilts is utilized, so if you are naturally petite, the jacket can be deconstructed and shortened to your height.
